England's Castles, Manors and Gardens Trip

May 22-31, 2018
Don't miss the informational meeting on November, 16, 2017!

Join Pamela White, Ph.D., director of the Museum Studies Program at Western Illinois University and a self-professed Anglophile and devotee of English country houses, for a once-in-a-lifetime tour in England, timed to coincide with the peak season for British gardens!

The trip will include a visit to the famed Chelsea Flower Show, along with other important London sites. The group will tour the world-famous Kew Gardens, see the roses at the Royal Horticultural Society Garden Wisley and visit the maze at Hampton Court Palace, and then take a ride on the Bluebell Railway and explore the award-winning gardens of Hever Castle.

Additional stops will include the seaside resort of Brighton, the White Cliffs of Dover, Canterbury Cathedral, and Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens. A special stop will be at Chartwell, the beloved country home of Winston Churchill.
