Dr. Ilona Katzew, curator and department head, Latin American Art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), will discuss the City of Davenport’s Spanish Viceregal collection. Dr. Katzew specializes in Spanish colonial, modern and contemporary Latin American art. She joined LACMA in 2000 as the museum’s first curator of Latin American art. Since that time, Dr. Katzew has established the museum’s first department of Latin American art and developed its collection of Spanish colonial art, significantly augmenting its modern and contemporary Latin American holdings.
