The Figge is proud to once again host the Rock Island Art Guild Fine Arts Exhibition.  This exhibition will display works by artists living with 150 miles of Rock Island, working in a variety of mediums.  Candace Moeller, independent curator and associate director of Cristin Tierney Gallery, New York, N.Y., will act as this year’s juror.  Visitors were encouraged to evaluate the artworks for themselves and help select this year’s “People’s Choice” and “Children’s Choice” awards. 

In order to slow the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus),the voting for the People’s Choice Award and Children’s Choice Award have concluded, in order to stop the spread of germs through the paper ballots.  With over 700 votes cast, congratulations to the winner of the People’s Choice Award, Tom Hempel and the winner of the Children’s Choice Award, Samuel Seigel.
