Registering for this course allows you access to your clay, our space and equipment, and shelf space for work-in-progress during the open studio hours on Thursdays from 1:00-7:00 PM.

Things to keep in mind when registering for this course: 

• Age Range: 15 to Adult
• Since we are limited to 8 available wheels, artists must make a reservation for pottery wheels.
  • Please contact Kili Alexander at kalexander@figgeartmuseum.org or 563-345-6654 to reserve a wheel.
• In order to be eligible for Open Studio, you are required to have taken one of the Figge's ceramics classes, regardless of your skill level, prior to enrolling in open studio.
• Any exceptions must be approved by the instructor.

February 2025 Open Clay Studio Class Fee

Materials fee is not included in this price. No outside clay is allowed in our studio. (All clay & glaze must be purchased through the Figge to be used in our studio).

A materials fee of $75 includes 20 pounds of clay, glaze, and firing fees.  Please click the link below to pay your materials fee.

Cancellation Policy: Classes are eligible for a full refund up to 2 weeks before the start date for the class.  Refunds within 2 weeks of the start date of the class will be for 50% of the original price. Transfers into other classes will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Photography Policy: By completing the registration for this class, you are giving your consent for the Figge Art Museum to use any photographs taken of you during the class for marketing purposes. We appreciate your support in help us share the impact of our art classes with a wider community audience.
