Plein Air Painting Camp

Skill Level: Beginner, Beyond Beginner
Class Description: Students will explore ways paint landscapes while observing their environment directly. They will learn how to interpret what they see and make thoughtful, informed decisions on color, composition, and value. The first day will be located at the Figge Art Museum, while the subsequent classes will be outside, on location, in the Quad Cities. With this camp, students will learn the necessary skills to find confidence in plein air painting!
Supplies: All materials provided. It is advised that students pack a large water bottle, as well as use protective gear like a hat, sunscreen, and bug repellent. In the case of inclement weather, students will paint at the museum and the instructor will provide reference photos.

Cancellation Policy: Classes are eligible for a full refund up to 2 weeks before the start date for the class. Refunds within 2 weeks of the start date of the class will be for 50% of the original price. Transfers into other classes will be handled on a case-by-case basis.Photography Policy: By completing the registration for this class, you are giving your consent for the Figge Art Museum to use any photographs taken of you during the class for marketing purposes. We appreciate your support in helping us share the impact of our art classes with a wider community audience.
