LOCATION: Figge Art Museum
Join Artist Anna Richards for this exciting, hands-on program that explores the Feminist Art Movement in relation to the exhibition, Jane Gilmor: Breakfast on Pluto. This workshop will be an opportunity to explore the personal and collective experience of living through a global pandemic. Through the creation of miniature rooms, participants will have an opportunity to "decorate" the rooms with a variety of found materials including text or images. It's an opportunity to reflect on our unique personal experiences (grief, loss, stress, labor, childcare) while also reflecting on the collective experience (the media, misinformation, politics & the absurd). Everyone has their own stories of survival and adaptation in this pandemic. Sharing stories and perspectives through art making can provide opportunities for connection in ways that verbal expression cannot always capture.
This program will take place at the Figge and space is limited to 12 people. Registration is required.
