Two Figge Staff Members Departing

Davenport, Iowa (January 3, 2019) – The Figge Art Museum’s Development Director Raelene Pullen and Creative Arts Coordinator Lynn Gingras-Taylor have announced their departure from the museum.

Pullen has been with the Figge since 2013 and will be moving on to another opportunity in the area. When she joined the Figge, gifts to the museum’s annual fund were just over $200,000 per year, the museum was carrying over $2 million in construction debt on the building, and the idea of a major exhibition, let alone a major exhibition endowment, was not even on the radar. This year the museum’s annual fund target is more than $400,000, the museum is on track to retire the debt in 2020 and >span class="s4"> first major exhibition, French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950has brought record crowds to the FiggeRaelene’s hard work and extraordinary people skills have been instrumental in bringing these transformational changes, which will continue to benefit the museum for years to come.

Gingras-Taylor is retiring and moving out of the area to be closer to family. She has been at the Figgesince it opened in August 2005, and has planned and overseen hundreds of classes and art activities in the Figge studios that have served literally tens of thousands of visitors. She has been a huge asset to the organization and her remarkable talent and positive energy will be missed.
