The Downtown Davenport Partnership and the Figge Art Museum, in cooperation with the City of Davenport, are launching a study of ways to integrate public art into the design and development of the riverfront between Harrison and Pershing Streets in downtown Davenport.

Steve Sinner: Master Woodturner highlights nearly 30 examples of Sinners solo work and collaborations as well as his innovations within the art form. The works are remarkable combinations of form, material and surface decoration.

The 6th annual Cajun Cook-Off at the Figge Art Museum will be held on Fat Tuesday, February 13 from 5-8 p.m. Guests are invited to sample decadent Cajun-inspired dishes prepared by eight area chefs. Sponsored by KWQC-TV and the Quad-City Times, this event benefits Figge art education outreach programs and major exhibitions.

From October 9, 2018 to January 6, 2019, the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa, will present the exhibition French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950 from the world-renowned collection of the Brooklyn Museum in New York

Since 1955, the Rock Island Art Guild, a volunteer-run organization, has supported the arts in the Quad-City region through exhibitions, educational programs and scholarships. This year, the guild’s 40th juried exhibition will be installed in the Figge’s third-floor gallery beginning Saturday.

A new exhibition will be opening at the Figge Art Museum on Saturday. Wynn Bullock: Revelations represents the most comprehensive assessment of photographer Wynn Bullock’s (1902-1975) extraordinary career in nearly 40 years and is the first major exhibition of his work to be held in Iowa.

On Sunday, November 26 more than 300 museum and cultural institutions from three continents, five countries and 47 states will participate in Museum Store Sunday – a day meant to spotlight shopping at cultural institutions.

On Saturday a new exhibition will open in the third-floor gallery at the Figge Art Museum. Power and Piety: Spanish Colonial Art From the Patricia Phelps De Cisneros Collection presents 56 objects, ranging from paintings to silver candlesticks to bishop’s chairs, made in the Spanish and Portuguese colonies of the Americas from the late 17th to the early 19th centuries.

Opening Saturday in the second-floor Katz Gallery at the Figge Art Museum is a new exhibition of work from Rock island native and distinguished artist of the 20th century: Irma René Koen (1883-1975).

The Figge Art Museum is home to one of the largest collections of Haitian Art in the United States. Opening Saturday is an exhibition by Haitian born artist Edouard Duval-Carrié titled: Endless Flight.

​Two new exhibitions will open Saturday at the Figge Art Museum. Kara Walker: Emancipation Approximation and Black Dolls From the Collection of Deborah Neff will be on display in the fourth floor gallery.

Chicago-based artist Jefferson Pinder has created a multi-part site-specific installation at the Figge Art Museum. Conceived for all, Pinder’s thought provoking performance based artwork explores the intersections of race and the black experience in the Midwest.

Eight chefs from the area will be cooking Cajun and Creole-inspired cuisine for guests...

Guests are invited to explore the current exhibitions on view including Scrimmage: Football in American Art From the Civil War to Present, The Art of Persuasion: American Propaganda Posters and the Great War, The Robert F. and Patricia J. Schmitt Collection of Japanese Prints and Portrait of Maquoketa. Docents will be in the galleries prepared to answer any questions.

April 6, 2017 marks the centennial of the United States’ declaration of war on Germany and its entry into World War I. The Art of Persuasion exhibition explores how some of the most important artists and illustrators of the day supported the war effort.
