Davenport, Iowa (March 3, 2020) – The Figge Art Museum will welcome Sue Taylor, Grant Wood scholar and author of Grant Wood’s Secrets, on Sunday, March 8. Taylor will kick off her Iowa tour at the Figge with a talk about artist Grant Wood that will reveal secrets about Wood's personal life and the impact it had on his art.

Davenport, Iowa (February 17, 2020) – The Figge Art Museum in downtown Davenport will feature the work of influential industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss beginning Saturday. Henry Dreyfuss: Designs for the Modern Age, will be the major first exhibition in over 20 years to focus entirely on Dreyfuss and his designs from the mid-20th century.

The Figge Art Museum is pleased to announce Didier William: Lakou, the first solo museum exhibition of the celebrated Haitian American artist Didier William. On view from February 8 – May 31, 2020 in the Figge Art Museum’s second floor Katz gallery, Didier William: Lakou will highlight the artist’s continuing exploration of cultural identity.

Davenport, Iowa (January 13, 2019) – Beginning Saturday, the Figge Art Museum’s second-floor Mary Waterman Gildehaus Community Gallery will feature the artwork of local elementary art students (K-5) for the annual Young Artists at the Figge exhibition. The exhibition will kick-off with works by elementary art students from Geneseo Schools.

The Rock Island Art Guild, a volunteer-run organization founded in 1955, promotes and fosters the appreciation of the visual arts in the Quad Cities. Beginning Saturday, the Guild’s 41st juried exhibition will be installed in the Figge Art Museum’s fourth-floor gallery.
